About

Piperine.org is a blog about ethnobotanical plants/fungi.

Essentially this is a diary of ours. We love ethnobotanical plants and are absolutely facinated by them. We love to spread information on these plants as much as possible

We are a team of phytochemists/organic chemists, you may find a few posts to be entirely talking about chemical synthesis and many others on the uses/history of ethnobotanical plants, primarily psychoactive ethnobotanicals.

As psychedelics become widespread in the modern day, I feel it is the responsibility of those who are in the know to help educate newcomers into the space. The amount of misinformation regarding psychedelics is so rampant. There needs to be solid education on the subject.

“Funny, I’d forgotten that what comes to you when you take a psychedelic is not always a revelation of something new and startling; you’re more liable to find yourself reminded of simple things you know and forgot you knew — seeing them freshly — old, basic truths that long ago became cliches, so you stopped paying attention to them.”
